PokerStars on FanDuel Posts 14% August Revenue Growth Across Three States

PokerStars on FanDuel generated an estimated $2.6 million in online poker revenue across Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania in August, a 14% rise from a year earlier. It was the only one of the three largest regulated US poker brands to post year-on-year growth during the month.

The result came after PokerStars moved US players from its in-house platform to iPoker software in April and combined its Michigan-New Jersey shared network with Pennsylvania into a single three-state pool. The Michigan Gaming Control Board approved FanDuel to offer multistate poker among the three states effective April 1; the PokerStars-branded product operates in Michigan with MotorCity Casino as its local partner.

The five months after the change produced an estimated $12.9 million in revenue, compared with $11.8 million in the equivalent period of 2025, a 9.4% increase, according to Poker Industry PRO estimates reported by Pokerfuse. Michigan and New Jersey had shared liquidity before the migration, while Pennsylvania had operated as a standalone PokerStars network.

The gains were concentrated in New Jersey and Michigan. PokerStars NJ was estimated to be growing 30% from a year earlier and had become New Jersey’s largest individual poker site. BetMGM’s combined network, which includes Borgata and PartyPoker, remained larger in the state overall. Michigan was expanding at a similar rate, while PokerStars Pennsylvania remained in decline despite joining the broader player pool.

The wider regulated US poker market was estimated at $8.8 million in August, roughly flat over the preceding four months and about 2% below a year earlier. WSOP Online revenue fell 10% year on year and BetMGM Poker declined 16%, reinforcing the contrast with PokerStars among the three leading brands.

Official state filings show that the broader state-level poker results were mixed. Pennsylvania reported $2.4 million in statewide iGaming poker revenue for August, down 5.15% from a year earlier, even as total iGaming revenue rose 6.25% to $245.7 million. New Jersey recorded $2.6 million in peer-to-peer revenue, down 3.2%, within internet gaming win of $259.3 million, up 4.4%.

Interstate liquidity remains a significant growth mechanism in a regulated poker market operating in only a small number of states. Pennsylvania became the sixth member of the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement in 2025, expanding the shared market by more than 50% to cover more than 38 million Americans. Pennsylvania players became eligible for multistate games on April 28, 2025, initially through BetMGM and PA Borgata Online.
