Hard Rock Bet said a Michigan online casino player won a $225,777 Mega Jackpot on Aug. 12 while playing Ultimate Fire Link Cash Falls China Street. The operator described it as the second-largest Michigan Mega Jackpot payout to date.
The win was the first Michigan Mega Jackpot since early July, ending a gap of more than a month. Hard Rock Bet said the jackpot had previously been landing every one to two weeks during the spring.
The August prize fell short of the state record, a $233,268.81 Mega Jackpot won on Bigger Piggy Bank on July 8, according to PlayUSA.
Hard Rock Bet’s jackpot system is available to real-money online casino players in Michigan and New Jersey, with four jackpot tiers across thousands of eligible games. Players must opt in, and each qualifying spin can trigger one of the tiers without requiring a special bonus round.
In Michigan, opting in adds $0.10 to each spin. The Mega tier begins at $5,000, while the Major, Minor and Mini tiers begin at $250, $40 and $7, respectively. Players must be at least 21 and physically located in the state to participate.
The Michigan jackpot result was distinct from the state’s largest standard slot payout in August. Hard Rock Bet said Platinum Goddess Power Bet produced a $215,000 non-jackpot win, making it the month’s biggest conventional slot prize in Michigan.
The operator’s wider August recap also highlighted major wins across its casino, sportsbook and Real Money Games offerings.
