Hard Rock Bet has added Lightning Link High Stakes to its online casino app for Michigan players. The Aristocrat slot is also live in New Jersey, and bets start at $0.50.
The game is a Vegas-themed version of Lightning Link. It runs on five reels with up to 50 paylines and mixes Cash-on-Reels in the base game with the Hold & Spin bonus and a Free Games round built around one oversized reel.
Cash-on-Reels lets cash values land directly on the reels as credit prizes without a line win. In Hold & Spin, landing six or more chip symbols locks them in place, gives three respins and resets the counter each time another chip lands.
Those chips can carry credit values or jackpot prizes. The lower progressive tiers hit more often and land as chip prizes during the bonus. The only way to land the Grand Jackpot is to fill the screen during Hold & Spin, with the prize sitting within a four-tier progressive system that also includes Mini, Minor and Major.
Free Games are triggered by landing three, four or five scatter symbols. In that round, the three centre reels merge into one BIG reel stacked with large symbols. Hard Rock Bet describes the presentation as a neon Las Vegas backdrop with a skyline and a showgirl in a feather headdress, with roulette wheels, poker chips, playing-card royals and glittering signage among the symbols.
Aristocrat launched Lightning Link in 2015, and High Stakes was one of the four original themes. In a separate PR Newswire release dated 23 July, Aristocrat Interactive said Lightning Link was being brought online to players in all regulated iGaming U.S. states and Canadian provinces for the first time, and chief executive Dylan Slaney called it a full-scale network rollout with a roadmap of subsequent titles. Hard Rock Bet entered Michigan in December 2025, when the Michigan Gaming Control Board approved it as the Hannahville Indian Community’s internet gaming and sports betting platform provider, replacing 888 VHL.
