BetMGM offered first-time customers physically located in Michigan a $150 bonus-bet promotion tied to NFL Week 6, using the code BROAD150. Customers had to deposit and wager at least $10; the $150 in bonus bets was awarded only if that first qualifying wager won.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board lists BetMGM as an authorized online gaming and sports-betting platform provider in the state. Crossing Broad said it checked the signup flow on Oct. 18 and confirmed that BROAD150 credited as described for new users.
The Michigan offer also applied in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. New customers in other eligible BetMGM jurisdictions were directed to code BROAD1500, which returned the amount of a losing first wager, up to $1,500, as bonus bets rather than cash.
Customers could claim only one of the offers, and had to enter the appropriate code during initial registration. The promotion was limited to people aged 21 or older who were physically located in a state where BetMGM operates; eligibility depended on location at the time of wagering rather than a permanent address.
Bonus bets carried no direct cash value and were non-withdrawable. They were generally credited after the qualifying bet settled and commonly expired after seven days, although the applicable promotional terms governed the deadline.
The promotion could be used on available markets for the Chicago Bears-Atlanta Falcons game, including the moneyline, point spread, total and player props. The Bears entered the Oct. 18 matchup at 3-2 and the Falcons at 2-3.
As covered earlier this month, BetMGM had used the same $10-to-$150 winning-wager structure in Michigan under the TOP150 code during the MLB playoffs and around the Steelers-Browns game, while offering larger first-bet-loss protection in other eligible states.
