BetMGM’s NFL Week 8 welcome marketing offered new Michigan customers $150 in bonus bets for a winning first wager of at least $10, using a state-specific affiliate code. The same win-based terms were advertised for new customers physically located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, with the Kansas City Chiefs-Denver Broncos game among the qualifying markets.
Sports Betting Dime promoted the Michigan offer with code SBD150, while Denver Stiffs used DENVER150. Both described a process requiring customers to open a new account, enter the applicable code, deposit at least $10 and make a qualifying first bet. The promotion was limited to first-time customers aged 21 or older in states where BetMGM was live.
The bonuses were not withdrawable and had no cash value. They generally expired within seven days of being issued, and returns on bonus bets did not include the original stake.
As we reported Oct. 25, BetMGM used the same four-state, $150 win-required structure in a Week 7 offer tied to the Broncos-Cardinals game.
The Week 8 campaign used different reward structures elsewhere. In Arizona, Colorado, Washington, D.C., Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts and Maryland, the affiliate pages advertised up to $1,500 in bonus bets if a first wager lost. In Illinois, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia, they advertised up to $1,000 back in bonus bets across a customer’s first 10 days.
CBS Sports likewise described three possible welcome-offer outcomes, varying by state: up to $1,500 following a losing qualifying wager, $150 following a winning first bet, or up to $1,000 over 10 days. Its promotion covered Sunday games including Chiefs-Broncos and Eagles-Commanders.
A separate Sports Illustrated page advertised code SI1500, offering new users up to $1,500 in bonus bets on a first wager and listing Michigan among eligible jurisdictions. The promotion was available as of Oct. 29 for NFL Week 8 matchups.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board lists BetMGM among the state’s authorized online gaming and sports-betting platform providers. Before the Chiefs-Broncos matchup, Kansas City was 5-1 and Denver was 5-2.
