Hard Rock Bet has opened qualifying for a $5 million slots tournament that will bring online players to The Guitar Hotel at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Florida on Dec. 12. The one-day event carries a $1 million top prize and guarantees $5 million in cash prizes.
Players in Michigan and New Jersey can seek seats through four biweekly online-casino sweepstakes in the Hard Rock Bet app between Oct. 5 and Nov. 29. Winners are drawn at random after each qualifying window closes, with top finishers receiving both a tournament seat and bonus spins; other winners receive bonus spins without a seat.
Hard Rock Bet is also offering online qualification in Florida and Ontario, while some seats are reserved for VIPs selected by host teams. Florida uses a separate system that includes play on Real Money Games powered by Past Motor Racing, alongside sweepstakes and Pooled Play & Get qualifiers.
According to Sports Betting Dime, entrants must be at least 21 and located in an available Hard Rock Bet Casino jurisdiction, including Michigan and New Jersey. Qualifiers must RSVP within 72 hours, provide a Unity ID and reconfirm attendance at least seven days before the event.
At the live tournament, every player receives two one-minute opening-round attempts, with only their higher score counting. The top 10 proceed to a two-minute semifinal and the top five reach the championship round. Machines will run in tournament mode, with competitors playing for points rather than using their own funds.
The guaranteed cash pool pays across the field. Every tournament qualifier is set to receive at least a $1,000 Hard Rock Bet games bonus, while players finishing 498th or higher receive at least $5,000. The top 10 prizes range from $15,000 to the $1 million grand prize, and Hard Rock Bet puts total awards at more than $5.1 million when the Games Bonus tier is included.
The event also includes a celebrity charity round, in which each participant competes for a charitable cause. As covered last month, Hard Rock Bet had already used sweepstakes mechanics for a near-$300,000 Octoplay casino-bonus promotion in Michigan and New Jersey.
Michigan became an available Hard Rock Bet market after the Michigan Gaming Control Board approved Seminole Hard Rock Digital as the Hannahville Indian Community’s internet gaming and sports-betting platform provider on Dec. 2, 2025. The operator replaced 888 VHL, which had exited the state market.
The qualifying period runs through Nov. 29, ahead of the Dec. 12 final in Hollywood.
