BetRivers Poker will add Mystery Bounty tournaments across Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware and West Virginia on Tuesday, Oct. 27, introducing the format at every buy-in level. The launch makes BetRivers the third regulated U.S. online poker operator to offer the games, after WSOP Online and PokerStars on FanDuel.
The launch also brings regulated Mystery Bounty poker to Delaware and West Virginia for the first time. Pokerfuse reported that BetRivers is the only online poker operator serving players in those two states.
The tournaments will run alongside BetRivers’ existing Progressive Knockout games. About half of each Mystery Bounty entry fee will go to the regular prize pool, with the other half assigned to bounties.
Bounties become active only once a tournament reaches the money. Thereafter, a player who eliminates an opponent receives a randomly drawn bounty from the remaining bounty pool, with its value revealed immediately at the table. The format can produce a large prize for a player who does not make a particularly deep run.
BetRivers’ presentation includes animations, sound effects and visual cues intended to help players follow the action. A target marker identifies an all-in opponent covered by a player, while a live bounty pay table shows which prizes remain available.
The introduction coincides with the operator’s second-anniversary celebrations. Anniversary Week runs from Oct. 27 through Nov. 1, with giveaways, cash-game promotions and added tournament prizes. BetRivers expects to run Mystery Bounty-related promotions and may add the format to the latter part of an upcoming tournament series.
Players who had completed at least one real-money poker hand by Oct. 25 qualify for the Global Ticket Drop, without an opt-in requirement. Eligible accounts will receive an SNG ticket drop on Oct. 27 and an MTT ticket drop on Oct. 30.
The other Anniversary Week offers are Super Splash, Run It Back and Main Event Added Prizes. Super Splash raises the expected return of the existing Splash the Pot promotion to 50% from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Eastern each day at two stakes. Run It Back enters runners-up in Classic and Cub3d Sit & Go tournaments into a daily draw for more than $900 in SNG tickets.
From Oct. 26 through Oct. 31, satellites for the Mini Main and Main Event will award two additional seats beyond their usual payouts. On Nov. 1, the operator will add $222 to the Mini Main prize pool and $2,222 to the Main Event prize pool.
