The second slate of online bracelet series for WSOP US players is well underway. A total of 45 online bracelets are up for grabs — 33 for players in NJ/NV and six each in Pennsylvania and Michigan.

This will be the last time an online bracelet series will run exclusively for the players of real money online poker in Michigan. By the time the next online bracelet series is held, the WSOP MI App will very likely have merged with the network’s existing NJ/NV/DE pool.

Back in May, Michigan officially signed the multi-state poker compact and became part of the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA). It became the fourth member after Delaware, Nevada, and New Jersey.

Once the operators receive approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), Michigan operators, including WSOP MI, can connect their player pools in Michigan to those states that are part of the agreement.

This means that WSOP MI will merge with WSOP NJ/NV, 888poker NJ, and the three racinos in Delaware running under 888poker skins.

There are rumors that the merge could take place latest by November.

Once that happens, Michigan players will compete for bracelets in a shared pool comprising players from four states, which will undoubtedly lead to bigger prize pools and more bracelets on offer because of the more extensive player pool base. However, the competition will also increase.

If you’re a resident of the Great Lakes State, now is the time to enter these events, as it’s the best time to win a piece of coveted WSOP gold jewelry.

Only Three Bracelet Events Remain

The online bracelet events for WSOP US players kicked off on September 11 and will run through October 16. Three out of six events have already concluded in the Mitten State, and three more remain. These prestigious events are held every Sunday for players in MI & PA.

Compared to the bracelet events that ran during the summer, the second leg has had a quiet start so far. The opening bracelet event — NLH MonsterStack with a buy-in of $500 — drew 174 entries, creating a prize pool of around $78,000. A prize pool of $81k was produced by the second bracelet event a week later. The third bracelet event held last Sunday generated just $67k in prize money.

The Summer Series was consistently producing prize pools in six figures. The $500 buy-in opening event generated about $140k, while a $400 buy-in amassed $120k in prize money back when the bracelet series took place in June and July.

Three events are still scheduled to run on October 2, 9, and 16. Buy-ins for the rest of the schedule are on the higher side, ranging from $500 to $1000.

The final one is a must-play event as the $1000 WSOP Online Championship bracelet event returns. This one is expected to produce the richest prize pool of the series.
