The Michigan Lottery has launched an instant game, Millionaire Maker II, the second edition of one of the most popular scratch cards the Lottery has issued to date.

The original Millionaire Maker game was released back in 2019 and awarded more than $96 million in prizes, including 11 top prizes worth $1 million each, and a great number of other valuable rewards.

Now, Michigan Lottery players will have a new chance to win a million dollars, with Millionaire Maker II offering a total of 12 top prizes worth a million dollars each as part of its $100 million total prize pool.

Millionaire Maker II tickets were released with retailers on September 28 at a price of $20, with prizes ranging between $40 and $1,000,000.

Each $20 ticket gives players 25 chances to win one of the prizes. Millionaire Maker II also offers the best odds to win $1 million in an instant win game in all of Michigan.

The Lottery paid out more than $1.5 billion in prizes to players in 2020 and continues going strong in 2021, with multiple major jackpots paid out this year.

Lotto 47 Strikes Again

Apart from the massive $18.4 million win in late July, two more Lotto 47 jackpots were awarded to Michigan players in recent weeks.

The Lottery said a player purchased a ticket worth $2.08 million on September 25. The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Market Plus, a retail location at 14350 East Nine Mile Road in Warren.

The winning numbers were 07-12-22-24-30-37. Although the winning player has not yet come forward, winning tickets are valid for one year from the date they are drawn.

Less than six weeks ago, a woman from Oakland County won $1.2 million playing Lotto 47 on August 18. Her winning numbers were 05-06-11-36-40-47.

The woman had purchased her ticket online. It was only the second time in Lotto 47’s history that a winning ticket for the game was purchased online—the first time was in December 2020, when a man from Wayne County won $2.5 million playing the game.

In all of these cases, players only had to pay $1 for their winning combination, and turned this into massive jackpots with one of the most lucrative Lottery games in the state.

Lotto 47 is drawn twice a week, on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Players must match six numbers from 1 to 47 for a chance to win a jackpot that starts at $1 million and continues to accrue until someone wins. The odds of matching all six numbers is 1-in-10,737,573.

For an additional $1, a player can add the Double Play option, which gives them a second chance to win up to $1.5 million in a Double Play drawing each night. Another option, EZMatch, also costs $1 and gives players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. The odds of winning a $500 prize through the EZMatch option is 1-in-84,000.

In Lotto 47, the odds of winning a prize is 1-in-47.

Lotto 47 continues gaining popularity among Michigan players as it turns more players into millionaires, while instant win games like Millionaire Maker II allow players to get even more involved with the Lottery on a daily basis.
