Nuvei Corporation has entered into a partnership with the 888 Holdings to intergrate their state-of-the-art payments solution into SI Sportsbook, 888’s new sports betting product that launched this month in Colorado.

Integrated with Plaid, Nuvei’s payments platform will give SI Sportsbook customers access to some 11,000 financial institutions across the US, making deposits and cash-outs fast, affordable and secure.

Plaid’s user-initiated bank account verification will be used to authenticate all transactions, making depositing with SI Sportsbook safe, while additional risk management checks by Nuvei will ensure the absolute security of all customers.

Nuvei’s payments platform will also include customer retention tools such as one-click deposits for returning customers, which will make it even easier for SI Sportsbook customers to use the product.

“Providing customers with the most convenient, secure and fast payment experience is at the core of what Nuvei does,” said Nuvei CEO Philip Fayer. “We are excited to partner with 888 to provide an iconic brand such as Sports Illustrated the ability to launch strong into the US sports betting and iGaming market, improving its player acquisition strategy through our best-in-class user experience, state-of-the-art risk management and instant payments.”

Expanded payment options for operators

Nuvei has been working to expand the gaming experience of US players for some time now, launching various enhancements to their products to make iGaming related transactions easier.

The latest update to the platform comes in the form of Verified Withdrawals, an option that allows customers to verify their bank accounts for withdrawals via Plaid, making them eligible for instant withdrawals in the future, regardless of the deposit method they used to fund their account.

Nuvei was the first payments processor to offer real-time payments to iGaming customers in the US with their acquisition of Mazooma in August, and will now offer instant withdrawals via its Instant Bank Transfer technology.

The suite of payments services that Nuvei offers now allows US-based online gaming operators to provide their players with all the payment solutions they could possibly need through a single platform, allowing operators to limit the number of payment processor partnerships they need to enter.

SI Sportsbook taking US by storm

One of the world’s leaders in sports betting and iGaming, 888 Holdings signed an agreement with the iconic Sports Illustrated brand back in June to launch SI Sportsbook across the US regulated markets.

Earlier this month, the SI Sportsbook launched its first product to customers in Colorado ahead of the new NFL season, with further launches planned for the coming months in Indiana, Iowa, and New Jersey.

The company announced that it was also working on acquiring operating licenses in more states, with plans to launch in up to 15 states within the next three years, which shows the ambition of the project.

The new partnership between SI Sportsbook and Nuvei will only make this expansion even easier and more likely, as the set of payment solutions it brings to the table will make SI Sportsbook a top-notch product for all customers.
