Greentube, the digital wing of the international interactive gaming supplier Novomatic, has been granted a supplier license in the state of Michigan, allowing the company to distribute its games to licensed casino operators in the state.
This license is the second one Greentube has received in the US, following their entry into New Jersey last year. The announcement that the game supplier will now be available in Michigan as well is very exciting news for online casino players in the state, as Greentube offers one of the most exciting and versatile portfolios of games out there, which includes the popular Diamond Cash suite of games, as well as other titles developed specifically for US players.

The Austria-based supplier’s entry into Michigan is its next step in an aggressive expansion campaign that it has launched in the US market. Greentube Gains Access to a Valuable Online Gambling Market
Greentube’s entry into the Mitten State seems to have come at the right time, as the Michigan online casino industry has been growing massively in recent months.
According to the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), MI online casino and poker operators grossed over $1.1 billion in revenue throughout their first year of operation. The year ended on a particularly high note — December was the record for the state and the fourth consecutive month with more than $100 million in revenue.
While the report does combine online casino and poker numbers without a clear distinction, it is understood that the vast majority of the $1.1 billion came from casino gaming, with only a small portion falling off to online poker.
With single online casino operators like BetMGM Casino MI raking in more than 400 million in revenue last year, it is clear that Greentube has made a smart move in acquiring a license in Michigan, an emerging market — its first regulated online casino went live just a year ago — that appears to only be going up in size and value.
While Greentube certainly looks to profit the most from the license acquisition, Michigan casinos will also have the benefit of extending their portfolios with exciting new games and providing their customers with an even more comprehensive product.
In the months ahead, it is expected that Greentube will be granted licenses in Pennsylvania and Connecticut, which will mean more expansion for one of the world’s top casino game suppliers into North America.
