As part of its comprehensive S.E.R.V.E.S. social responsibility initiative, DraftKings has renewed its commitment to helping the battle against breast cancer at the start of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.

As part of the initiative, DraftKings will once again be launching its Pink ‘Em promotion, which has been a great success in the past.

The Pink ‘Em charitable initiative will be organized in association with The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation, dedicated to breast cancer prevention and support for breast cancer survivors.

The promotion itself will be organized across the DraftKings apps, with users getting free entry into the weekly Pink ‘Em fantasy NFL drafts, between NFL Weeks 5 and 8.

For each entry into the competition, DraftKings will donate $1 to the Foundation, while a prize pool of $5,000 will be given out to the players to incentivize as many entries as possible.

The goal of the Pink ‘Em charity program is to accumulate $100,000 in donations and add to more than $230,000 that DraftKings customers have already helped accumulate for the fight against breast cancer since the beginning of the initiative in 2019.

“We are entering year three of our Pink ‘Em program alongside The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation as part of our overarching DraftKings S.E.R.V.E.S. corporate social responsibility initiative, and remain as committed as ever to raising awareness and combating this devastating disease,” said Matt Kalish, co-founder and president of DraftKings North America.

“Our products are designed to entertain and engage fans, but we can also leverage these qualities along with our substantial customer base to power meaningful causes like funding breast cancer research and numerous other important efforts within S.E.R.V.E.S.”

How to enter Pink ‘Em competitions

Starting with Week 5 of the NFL season, DraftKings will organize one freeroll competition each week, with up to 25,000 entries allowed in each.

Customers interested in participating will be able to submit their picks for the competition until the first game kicks off on Sundays, as long as there are still available spots in the pool. There will be no buy-in for these competitions, making the entry completely free to all DraftKings users.

The first freeroll pool started on Sunday, October 10, and additional opportunities will be available on October 17, 24 and 31, giving everyone a fair chance to enter.

In each competition, a total of 2,225 top finishers will be awarded at least $1 in prize money, with the top finisher each week receiving the top prize of $100.

What’s most important to remember is that by entering the pools, you will get DraftKings to donate an additional $1 to the fight against breast cancer, one of the most dangerous diseases of our time.

DraftKings giving back through S.E.R.V.E.S.

Since its launch, DraftKings has been one of the most generous sports betting and fantasy operators in their charitable contributions. In 2021 alone, the operator’s S.E.R.V.E.S. program has donated more than $4 million in cash to various social and medical initiatives and programs, including fight against breast cancer.

Breast cancer is a disease that attacks 13% of all women in the US at some point in their lives and affects hundreds of thousands of women, as well as some men, each year.

DraftKings, as part of their S.E.R.V.E.S. charitable initiative, looks to help those impacted by breast cancer by donating to organizations such as the Larry Fitzgerald Foundation, who are able to impact change and help through research, prevention, and treatment.

“On behalf of The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation, I would like to express my gratitude in advance to all the DraftKings customers who will participate in the third-annual Pink ‘Em charity program to raise funds for breast cancer research this October,” Fitzgerald said.

DraftKings has promised to continue looking into new ways of helping the community as part of their ongoing corporate social responsibility program, which has continually helped various groups in need over the years.
