Ranked teams taking on lower Big 10 rivals

The undefeated Michigan Wolverines (2-0 Big Ten, 5-0 overall) are ranked ninth in the nation and will take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers (1-2 Big Ten, 3-3 overall) in Lincoln, NE on Saturday.

With Ohio State falling 35-28 to Oregon on September 11, the Wolverines have a chance of getting into the postseason and making a run for their first national title—in the AP poll—since 1997.

Meanwhile, the Cornhuskers, which also last won the national title—in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll—in 1997, has unloaded on lowly Fordham, Buffalo and Northwestern so far this year, but they got clipped by Illinois 30-22 to open the season and lost in OT on September 25 to 11th-ranked Michigan State.

On FOX Bet MI, there are two Bet Boosts offered for the matchup between the Wolverines and the Huskers:

  • Triple Your Money – Michigan scores points in every quarter: +200
  • Each team scores 2+ rushing touchdowns (Max Bet: $25): +135

In other action on Saturday, the undefeated Michigan State Spartans (2-0 Big Ten, 5-0 overall), ranked No. 11 in the nation, travels to SHI Stadium to take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (0-2 Big Ten, 3-2 overall).

The Spartans have put up 38 points or more every game this season except for the aforementioned contest against Nebraska. They have a tough road ahead, facing ranked Michigan (No. 9), Ohio State (No. 7) and Penn State (No. 4) before the end of the season. However, they get Michigan and Penn State at home.

On the other side of the ball, Rutgers put up impressive numbers against Temple and Delaware before getting blown out by Ohio State 52-13 last week. The only other ranked opponent they get from here on out is Penn State on November 20. That game is in Happy Valley.

Two Bet Boosts are on offer from FOX Bet MI for these Big Ten East rivals:

  • Each team records 2+ rushing touchdowns: +280
  • Double Your Money (Max Bet: $25) – Michigan State wins the first quarter: +100

NFC North rivals do battle

The winless Detroit Lions travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings in Week 5 NFL action. The Lions are one of only two teams to have not won a game yet this season—the other one is the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team that’s dealing with their own issues both on and off the field—so a victory for the Lions in Week 5 would be a huge morale booster.

That said, the Vikings (1-3) are looking to avoid falling too far under .500. This weekend’s game will be their first matchup against another NFL North rival. The Vikings still need to play the division-leading Green Bay Packers (3-1) in Weeks 11 and 17. They get the Lions again in Week 13 but that game will be at Ford Field in Detroit.

FOX Bet MI is offering three Bet Boosts for the Lions-Vikings game:

  • Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins has a perfect passer rating (158.3): +2,500
  • 10 Pays $25 – both teams score 1+ touchdowns in each half: +150
  • 6x Your Money (Max Bet: $25) – Lions running backs D’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams each score a touchdown: +500
