The Powerball drawing that took place on Saturday August 14, produced no jackpot winner, which means the $259 million amount will be rolled over to the next drawing taking place on Tuesday August 17. According to the Michigan Lottery and the official Powerball site, the new jackpot will be $274 million, with the cash option of $197.7 million.
The Saturday draw produced the following numbers:
- White Powerball numbers: 6, 21, 49, 65, 67
- Red Powerball number: 18
- Power Play number: 2
Although there was no jackpot winner on Saturday, one lucky player from Maryland did manage to guess all five white numbers correctly, resulting in a $1,000,000 win. Unfortunately for the winner, they opted not to take the Power Play option, which would have doubled their winnings.
As for other lottery players in Michigan, there were over 24,000 winning tickets sold in the state. However, the largest prize won was just $200 and that amount was won by nine Michiganders.
