Hard Rock Bet has introduced automatic 10-cent line boosts on qualifying pregame Major League Baseball wagers for Michigan bettors, under a promotion it calls the 10¢ Summer Sale. The offer runs through Aug. 31 and appears automatically in the app and on the website, with no promo code or opt-in required.
According to Hard Rock Bet, the deal narrows the sportsbook margin, or vig, on eligible MLB markets so that both sides are priced more tightly. The qualifying wagers are pregame bets in the MLB Six-Pack, including moneyline, run line and totals, as long as the odds are between -250 and +250.
Player props, alternate lines and live bets are excluded. The operator said the benefit is not a one-time use and can apply again to later qualifying wagers during the month, though it does not guarantee the best price on every matchup because odds can move.
The promotion can include Detroit Tigers games when the selected market falls within the qualifying odds range, but it will not apply to every Tigers matchup or every market. Hard Rock Bet gave an example in which a standard baseball line of Miami at +100 and Atlanta at -120 shifted to +105 and -115 under the promotion, turning a winning $100 Miami bet into $105 in profit and lowering the amount needed to risk on Atlanta from $120 to $115.
As covered earlier in the summer, Hard Rock Bet has continued to tailor Michigan offers after launching in the state in December through its licensing partnership with the Hannahville Indian Community and Island Resort & Casino. PlayMichigan reported that the operator handled about $13.6 million in Michigan online wagers in June and generated $1.5 million in gross sports wagering revenue, which ranked it eighth among 13 operators that reported online wagering activity.
PlayMichigan also said Michigan’s online sportsbooks accepted $366.1 million in June. Hard Rock Bet said customers must be at least 21 and physically located in Michigan to qualify for the 10¢ Summer Sale.
