Underdog is marketing a Michigan new-user offer under the code ALARM, providing a 50% match on a first deposit up to $1,000 in bonus funds. Fantasy Alarm said the promotion was live Sept. 17 and was being promoted around the Lions-Bills Thursday Night Football game, although the match itself did not require participation in that game.
The maximum match requires a $2,000 deposit, since the rate remains 50% at every deposit level. The resulting credit is described as usable bonus funds that can be applied across Underdog contests and sports coverage, rather than being tied to a single game outcome.
The ALARM offer runs separately from Keep Your Million, a free-to-play survival game also available through Underdog. Players receive a virtual $1 million pot in bonus funds and face as many as 20 higher-or-lower, prop-style questions. They may lock in choices before games begin and carry the amount assigned to a winning side into the following round.
USA Today’s Chiefs Wire described the game as requiring players to split their virtual pot between two outcomes using a slider. Money put on a losing outcome disappears, while the amount on the winning side rolls forward. A player who completes all 20 questions can cash out the remaining virtual pot as Underdog bonus funds. Putting the entire pot on the correct side in every round would preserve $1 million; splitting it evenly each time would leave $1.
Other Underdog promotional reports have described the same headline structure using different publisher codes, including MLIVE50, FOXSPORTS, SBWIRE, CBSSPORTS2 and FOXNEWS: a 50% first-deposit match capped at $1,000 alongside access to Keep Your Million. CBS Sports said its CBSSPORTS2 version required at least a $10 deposit, credited funds within 72 hours and limited those funds to DFS.
Michigan users cannot trade event contracts on Underdog’s prediction-market platform, according to MLive. The outlet said that restriction also applies to users physically located in Arizona, Nevada and New York, even though the platform operates through CFTC-regulated designated contract markets.
For the Michigan ALARM offer, both the deposit match and the Keep Your Million game were available at the same time on Sept. 17, according to Fantasy Alarm.
